CUSTOMERS have to make adjustments to their Thanksgiving Day shopping plans as a major department store has decided to close for the day.
A TJ Maxx spokesperson has confirmed to The U.S. Sun that stores will be shut down on Thanksgiving Day.
She added that Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra, and Homesense stores will also be closed but are scheduled to open on Friday morning, November 24.
"We consider ourselves an Associate-friendly company and we are pleased to give Associates the time to enjoy Thanksgiving with family and friends," the TJ Maxx spokesperson added.
On Friday, November 24, most TJ Maxx stores are scheduled to open at 7 am for Black Friday.
In fact, it will be offering various discounts for Black Friday across multiple sectors.

The department chain offers things like clothes, home decor, and kitchenware at a discounted rate all year long.
Shoppers can usually find big brands at much lower prices like Nike, Ralph Lauren, Sorel, and more.
Just note that because the store provides year-round deals and sales, TJ Maxx may not typically offer huge sales for Black Friday.
However, in past years customers were given free shipping or a free gift with purchase.

Just note that standard delivery costs $9.99 if you spend up to $89, or it will cost $10.99 if you spend over $89.

To keep the deals going, companies and big brands have started offering discounts on the Monday after Thanksgiving.
Coined Cyber Monday, the deals are typically found online.
This year, Cyber Monday falls on November 27, 2023, and is normally the last chance to save in the season.
However, TJ Maxx will continue offering bargains throughout the year, and The U.S. Sun does not expect anything special from TJ Maxx.

However, it may be best to check your local TJ Maxx for specific hours, as they could vary based on store and state.
